EVENTS

We have a lot of wonderful events at The Farm for all ages between May and November (our seasonal months of operation). Our goal is to provide engaging, family programming where children are always welcome. Some events are free and require no registration, while registration and payment options are available for our Floral Workshops, Maker Mornings and FarmKids (dates below). If you know you would like to attend, we suggest reserving a space as soon as possible. Please click on one of the dates below to reserve and pre-pay a space. Reservations are NOT refundable but you may transfer them to a friend if you discover you are unable to attend.

Storytime at the Farm

Storytime

Storytime has been a favorite event with children over the years. Set in our outdoor courtyard, Storytime begins with singing and continues in a fast-paced pattern of three books interspersed with songs. While the average audience age is 0-4 years old, many older children attend and enjoy the stories which are varied, fun and revolve around animal stories and all things farming, with an emphasis on values like kindness, sharing, and working hard.

Wednesdays (through the end of September): 10:00 and 10:30.

No need to register.

U-Pick Flowers

Jessica flowers

Our self-serve flower field starts the second week of July. It will be open Monday through Saturday 9-4. Come wander through our beautiful field and gather either a hand-held bouquet (22.00) or a 2.5 gallon bucket (42.00). You can bring a bucket of your own to transfer your flowers into after picking or you can package your flowers to go with damp paper towels and plastic bags. All shears, and packaging supplies are provided on our self-serve flower cart at the entrance to the flower field. We recommend wearing close-toed shoes, long sleeves and gloves as some plants we grow can cause skin irritation.

Please pay first at the farmstand counter and check out a pair of shears. Staff will direct you to our field from there!

No need to register.

Floral Workshops

flower arrangement

Our flower arranging workshops are held outdoors in our patio, and focus on using locally grown, seasonally available flowers (most of them sourced from our own farm). We teach the basics of flower arranging without using floral foam. We begin each workshop with a demonstration of technique, and color theory, followed by workshop time for each participant to build their own work of art with opportunity for one-on-one guidance from our farm staff. Each registration also includes a 20% coupon to our Gift Shop, along with complimentary refreshments.

Maker's Morning

Evening Flowers

This series of hands on workshops are designed to create a stress-free environment to create art in a multigenerational setting (children are welcome to attend with their adult, though these workshops are designed for older students).

FarmKids

Farm school

FarmKids are a series of fun, engaging, hands-on classes that cover a variety of farming topics and are designed to engage all ages (toddlers to adults).

Please note that each child or family of children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
